About FNVMap

FNVMap is an independent, fan-made interactive map and guide for Fallout: New Vegas and its four story DLCs. It exists to answer one question fast: where is the thing I am looking for, and how do I get it?

What you will find here

The site covers the whole Mojave Wasteland and every story DLC map: Dead Money (the Sierra Madre), Honest Hearts (Zion Canyon), Old World Blues (Big MT) and Lonesome Road (the Divide). Together they hold more than 2,600 markers, from major settlements to a single skill magazine on a shelf.

Every marked place has its own page with a short description, directions, notable loot, the quests that start or end there, the people you will meet and practical tips. The guides gather the things players hunt for most into checklists you can work through in order.

  • An interactive map with filters for 40+ marker types, search, and shareable links to any map view.
  • A "found" tracker that remembers what you have collected, stored only in your own browser.
  • Guides for snow globes, skill books, skill magazines, Sunset Sarsaparilla star caps, unique weapons, unique armor, companions, merchants, doctors and vaults.
  • Location pages grouped by region, plus overview pages for each DLC.
  • The full site in eight languages: English, Spanish, French, German, Portuguese, Italian, Japanese and Korean.

Where the information comes from

Our data is researched by hand from the long-running community wikis for the Fallout series, mainly the Fallout Wiki on Fandom and fallout.wiki. Where the two disagree, we compare their sources and in-game details and use the version that holds up. Marker positions are placed on our own map tiles and checked against the in-game world map and local landmarks.

We do not copy other map sites. Every description, tip and guide on FNVMap is written for this site in plain language, so that it tells you what to do rather than repeating a wiki article.

How we check accuracy

Wrong directions waste your time, so accuracy comes first. Before publishing, we ran a fact-check of every entry where a mistake would hurt most: quest starts, unique items, key holders, locked containers and DLC locations. Each one was checked claim by claim against the wiki sources, and every error we found was corrected in all eight languages.

Game facts can still vary with patches, platform versions, mods and the choices you made earlier in a playthrough. If something on the site does not match your game, please tell us. Corrections are the most useful email we get, and we fix confirmed errors quickly.
