The Big MT west tunnel is a subway entrance on the western side of the crater with a network of maintenance tunnels behind it. Protectrons that scale with your level patrol the corridors, along with a unique protectron known as The Custodian. A door to the right of the entrance opens a small closet, and two more doors on the right lead into the maintenance tunnels, which end at a Hard locked door into a subway tunnel caved in at both ends.
Two holotapes make the trip worthwhile. The Recipes: Unarmed Skill Book holotape is behind an Easy locked door to the right of the entrance, and the Main Computer Upgrade: LAER Mod Auxiliary Recharger Chip holotape for Influencing People sits on a shelf in a room reached by going down the entrance passage, past the second door and through the doorway ahead. Beside a skeleton in the caved-in subway tunnel you can also find a Saturnite fist, which the Toaster in the Sink can later super-heat.
How to get there
Head southwest from Little Yangtze toward the X-13 research facility; the tunnel mouth sits between the two on the western side of the crater.
