The Burial Mounds are where the Sorrows lay their dead to rest, on the east side of Zion Canyon a short walk southeast of Wind Wall Docks. Skeletal remains rest on tiered wooden structures, with clay pots placed beside them. A large Sorrows mural marks the entrance and a Sorrows burial mural is painted at the back. If Waking Cloud is travelling with you, she asks you to be respectful here, because these are the bones of her ancestors.
The pots hold small miscellaneous items, and taking them costs no Karma and draws no complaint from your companions. Climbing out to the west up the rocks leads to a Hollowed-Out Rock. The site matters most during Flight from Zion: Joshua Graham's optional quest Sanctity of the Dead sends you here to kill the White Legs defiling the graves and then speak with the Sorrows who came to defend them. A Speech check of 75 convinces them they cannot win and should give up the fight.
How to get there
From Wind Wall Docks, walk a short way southeast along the eastern side of the canyon.
Notable loot
- Clay pots with miscellaneous items (beside the burial platforms)
