The yao guai cave lies slightly northeast of the East Fork Bridge and south of the Zion fishing lodge, close to the road the Sorrows would use to escape toward Pine Creek Tunnel. Inside, a series of small tunnels leads to a large central cavern where three yao guai live. The uphill path to the right at the first fork dead-ends at two skeletons; going straight at the next fork brings you to a high ledge over the cavern, and the left path runs through a partly flooded tunnel into the cavern itself.
Daniel sends you here in River Monsters. You can either kill the pack of yao guai blocking the road southeast toward Pine Creek Tunnel, or plant the mining explosives he gives you at three marked spots inside the cave, walk out, and fire the mining detonator. The blast seals the entrance for good, so loot what you want first. If you killed the three yao guai inside before the quest, they may respawn when it starts.
How to get there
Cross the East Fork Bridge and head a short way northeast toward the fishing lodge.
Notable loot
- Yao guai meat (from the yao guai inside)

Tips
- The explosives route lets you avoid the yao guai entirely if you sneak past them.
- Shots from the high ledge often hit an invisible barrier unless the yao guai are near the middle or west wall.
- Once sealed, the cave cannot be entered again.
