East Fork Bridge carries old Route 9 through the Pine Creek Canyon area of eastern Zion, on the road that leads to the Pine Creek Tunnel. It stands where the Upper Pine Creek Bridge does in the real Zion National Park. The road around it is busy wildlife country: groups of green geckos, yao guai and cazadores roam here, and they are known to spawn at both ends of the bridge at once, so a simple crossing can become a fight on two fronts.

During Flight from Zion, Joshua Graham gives the optional quest Retake the Bridge. A small band of White Legs holds the span and has laid bear traps across it. Disarming every trap completes an optional objective, but only if you do it before the last White Leg dies; you can also lure the White Legs into their own traps. The bridge is on the evacuation route to Pine Creek Tunnel, so taking it keeps the Sorrows safe on their way out of Zion.

Two Hollowed-Out Rocks are hidden nearby. One sits on an overlooking ledge just northeast of the fast travel point, next to the bridge, and the other is beside the road just southwest of the second bridge further to the southeast. Yao Guai Cave, the target of Daniel's quest River Monsters, is only a short walk away.

How to get there

From the Zion Fishing Lodge, head south past Yao Guai Cave to Route 9; the bridge carries the road southeast toward Pine Creek Tunnel.

Notable loot

  • Hollowed-Out Rock (ledge just northeast of the fast travel point)
  • Hollowed-Out Rock (beside the road southwest of the second bridge)

Related quests

  • Retake the Bridge
  • Flight from Zion
  • River Monsters

Tips

  • Disarm all the bear traps for the optional objective; they are easy to miss against the road.
  • Watch both ends of the bridge, since wildlife can spawn on each side at the same time.
  • Retake the Bridge is lost once you tell Daniel at Pine Creek Tunnel that everyone is accounted for, so finish it before you talk to him there.
