Part of Camp Forlorn Hope

The command center is the office of Major Joseph Polatli, who runs Camp Forlorn Hope while Legion troops dug in at Nelson keep his men pinned down. Morale is low and supplies are running out, and Polatli asks you to work with his officers to put the camp back on its feet in Restoring Hope, so the troopers can eventually push the Legion out of Nelson.

Tech Sergeant Reyes works the radio in this tent. She suspects someone is tampering with the reports from the ranger stations and sends you around the Mojave with new security codes in Return to Sender. A Big Book of Science lies on a desk in the corner, but you must steal it. After Three-Card Bounty, Corporal Sterling and Lieutenant Gorobets of First Recon also turn up here.

How to get there

Head to Camp Forlorn Hope northeast of Novac; the command center is the big tent with the flag on the camp's east side, just south of the medical tent.

Notable loot

  • Big Book of Science (desk in the corner, owned)
  • Forlorn Hope mandate (note on the center table)

Tips

  • Do the smaller jobs around the camp before the Nelson attack; they all raise camp morale for Restoring Hope.
  • No man's land south of the camp toward Nelson has Legion frag mines placed near the dying troopers, so watch your step.
