Legion Raid Camp

The Legion Raid Camp is a small Caesar's Legion forward position in the southern hills northeast of Wolfhorn Ranch, midway between Walking Box Cavern and Broc Flower Cave. It is exactly what the name says: tents on two rocky levels, a campfire on each, and a squad of legionaries using it as a base for raids in the area. Two Powder Gangers taken from Nipton kneel bound by the campfire, which ties the camp to the quest Booted, started by Boxcars in Nipton.

Expect up to five legionaries in camp plus a patrol of two to four walking the perimeter, armed with machetes, throwing spears and a few guns. At low levels the group can overwhelm you in melee, so fight from the ridgeline and use the rocks for cover. NCR patrols sometimes clash with them, and night stalkers occasionally attack the camp and can kill the hostages too. Bring Boone along for a reaction in I Forgot to Remember to Forget. The payoff is Legion armor, melee weapons and supplies, plus Legion infamy if that matters to your playthrough.
