Walking Box Cavern is a small cave due south of Dead Wind Cavern and west of the Legion Raid Camp. Seven nightstalkers wait at the cave mouth among the bones of earlier prey, and a Hollowed-Out Rock sits straight ahead when you face away from the entrance. Inside, the cave glows with purple fungus, and a duffle bag rests in the middle among the remains of past victims. Bring antivenom, because nightstalker bites poison you.
The main corridor splits. The north room holds more nightstalkers, and the western room has five more along with a high-level duffle bag containing reinforced combat armor and a helmet, a big upgrade at the level most players arrive. Come back after clearing it and more nightstalkers can respawn, and later still deathclaws and young deathclaws may move in, so a return trip can be far more dangerous than the first.
How to get there
From the Hidden Supply Cave, head northeast a short way to the cave mouth in the hillside.
Notable loot
- Reinforced combat armor and helmet (duffle bag in the western room)
- Duffle bag (center of the cave)
- Hollowed-Out Rock (straight ahead when facing away from the entrance)
Tips
- Carry antivenom or extra stimpaks for nightstalker poison.
- Be careful on return visits; deathclaws can spawn after repeated clears.
