Part of Novac
Dusty and Alice McBride live in this small house decorated with brahmin skulls, next to the corral where they keep their herd. Something has been killing one brahmin a night and leaving holes all over the bodies, and Dusty asks you to stake out the pen. This is the unmarked quest The Screams of Brahmin, which you can also hear about from Jeannie May or No-bark Noonan.
The killer is a nightkin hiding near a large boulder behind the house under a Stealth Boy. He appears as soon as you step outside, stays non-hostile until attacked and carries a minigun. Kill him and report back near the pen for 75 caps, Novac fame and free use of the ten brahmin steaks in Dusty's fridge.
How to get there
From the Dino Dee-lite Motel, head west across the tracks toward the road to the REPCONN Test Site; the skull-covered house is on the left.
Notable loot
- Ten brahmin steaks (fridge, free to take after the quest)
- Minigun and 5mm rounds (carried by the nightkin)

Tips
- Target the boulder area in V.A.T.S. to reveal the cloaked nightkin.
- Stand near the pen when you report to Dusty, or the reward dialogue may not appear.
- Killing the nightkin costs no Karma; it may be a tougher nightkin master at higher levels.
