Gibson Scrap Yard

Gibson Scrap Yard is a sprawling junk lot on the highway north of Novac, run by Old Lady Gibson and her pack of loyal dogs. Piles of wrecked cars, machinery and scrap surround a small house and a shed, and Gibson spends her days picking through it all for anything worth selling. She is friendly enough as long as you are polite and leave the dogs alone.

The yard matters for Come Fly With Me, the Novac rocket quest. Gibson has a set of thrust control modules that the ghouls at the REPCONN Test Site need, and you can buy them from her, haggle the price down with Barter or steal them if you prefer. She also sells a general selection of parts, weapons and supplies, making her a handy merchant between Novac and the 188. Her dog Rey can also provide a brain for Rex in Nothin' But a Hound Dog.

There is no danger at the scrap yard itself unless you provoke the dogs or Gibson, and the surrounding road is relatively tame. Make it a regular stop when you are based in Novac. Gibson's inventory restocks over time, so she is worth checking on return visits, and the yard is a convenient fast travel point between the town and HELIOS One.
