Nellis Array

The Nellis Array is the generator building at Nellis Air Force Base, topped by a field of solar panels that powers the whole base. It was built before the war to keep Nellis independent of the Las Vegas power grid, and the Boomers got it running again after they moved in. By the time you arrive, worn-out panels on the roof and a giant ant infestation inside the building have forced them to shut it down.

Two Boomer quests deal with those problems. In Ant Misbehavin', Raquel sends you inside to restart the two generators, reset the main breaker and get rid of the ants, either by killing them all or by using Loyal's sonic emitter on their nest on the lower level. In Sunshine Boogie, Loyal asks you to fix the broken roof panels, either with solar parts salvaged from HELIOS One or by passing a 65 Repair check on each panel.

Search the lower floor carefully while the building is open. The unique Thump-Thump grenade launcher lies next to a skeleton near the ant mound, two mini nukes sit on the shelves by the tunnel door at the north end, and a dead Boomer carries a marksman carbine. Once Volare! is complete, the interior can no longer be entered, so anything you leave behind is lost for good.
