Fields' Shack is a small shack tucked under an overpass just west of Nellis Air Force Base and northwest of Raul's Shack. It sits on the old road that leads east toward Nellis, so most players pass it on the way to the Boomers. A campfire burns out front, and inside are lockers, ammunition boxes, a toy box with odds and ends and two beds you can sleep in. Nothing in the shack is owned, so you can take whatever you like.

The highlight is the Abilene Kid LE BB gun, a unique BB gun lying in the middle of a shelf on the left side of the shack, and a star bottle cap waits inside the broken fridge next to an empty Sunset Sarsaparilla bottle. With the Wild Wasteland trait, the BB gun is moved to Jimmy's Well instead, which only appears after Rex says "aroo" and you ask him if someone fell down a well. The beds and lockers make the shack a good place to rest before running the Boomers' artillery field.

How to get there

From Mole Rat Ranch, head northeast toward Nellis and look for the shack beneath the overpass.

Tips

  • Sleep here before attempting the run to Nellis.
  • With Wild Wasteland, the Abilene Kid LE BB gun is in Jimmy's Well instead; talk to Rex when he says "aroo" to make the well appear.
