Next to The Aerie
The Survivalist's cache is a small hidden stash on the riverbank southwest of the Aerie. A toolbox and a single explosives crate stand against the cliff wall, half hidden by trees, brush and broc flower plants, so it is easy to walk straight past. Despite the name, it is not one of the six survival caches from the Survivalist's Bounty challenge.
Both containers hold random high-level crafting and explosives loot. The explosives crate always contains at least one detonator and has a good chance of something better, such as a grenade rifle or C-4 plastic explosive. The game files include a map marker for this spot, but it is disabled, so it never shows on your Pip-Boy.
How to get there
From the Aerie, head down to the river and walk southwest along the bank, checking the base of the cliff behind the brush.

Tips
- Look for broc flowers at the foot of the cliff; the crates are tucked behind the brush there.
