Coyote Den

Coyote Den is a shallow, open cave in the side of a mountain just west of the Hidden Supply Cave, in the hills north of Nipton. There is no door, only a dark opening, and several coyotes roam around the entrance. Inside you will find a coyote den mother, a regular coyote and two or three pups. The animals may not attack unless you provoke them or get close, so you can often pass by without a fight if you keep your distance.

There is very little to take. A lottery ticket lies at the entrance, and a dead Bright Follower rests next to a pile of bones, a reminder of what happens to travelers who wander in. A centaur can sometimes turn up inside as well. Most players stop here to fill in the map marker, to pick up some easy experience on a low-level character or on the way to the Hidden Supply Cave a few steps east.
