The X-17 meteorological station sits in the northwest corner of Big MT, between the Construction site, the Signal Hills transmitter and the X-22 botanical garden. A small entrance office opens into a large warehouse whose raised central platform holds a scale model of Higgs Village. Ironbelly, a unique Mister Gutsy carrying Protonic inversal throwing axes, patrols the perimeter, catwalks and stairs with several other Mister Gutsy units, so come ready for fast flying robots.
Follow the catwalk from the model village to the lab with the weather test terminal. The Snow globe: Big MT sits on a computer console directly opposite that lab's entrance, next to a set of Mad scientist scrubs. Running the weather test makes it rain on the model, washes away the dirt to reveal a soggy duffle bag with random loot, and also starts the fountain in the real Higgs Village.
An elevator on the east wall leads to the roof, where several Y-17 trauma override harnesses wait. Ulysses left his marks here too: a blue Old World flag by the front door, a second one on the floor of the weather control room, and a wall map of the Divide with a targeting reticle over his temple, a hint of Lonesome Road.
How to get there
Travel to the far northwest of the crater; the station is just northeast of Little Yangtze and northwest of the Signal Hills transmitter.

- Run the weather test before leaving to uncover the hidden duffle bag.
- Ironbelly and the Mister Gutsy units are robots, so the Sonic emitter and EMP damage work well.
- The roof can also be reached by jumping across from the Construction site.
