A small hologram lab in western Big MT that worked on the Sierra Madre's holograms; its light column skips twelve hours at once.

Z-38 lightwave dynamics research is a small two-story building in the western part of Big MT, southwest of the Z-43 innovative toxins plant. It worked on the hologram project for the Sierra Madre Casino: Frederick Sinclair had the holograms fitted with defenses, which delayed the project, and ordered a flawless hologram of Vera Keyes. Two non-hostile holograms remain inside, while lobotomites and a pack of nightstalkers guard the outside.
A Valence Radii-Accentuator is hidden in the light column in the middle of the first floor, and the Recipes: Energy Weapons Skill Book holotape is under the monitor at the top of the first flight of stairs. Three Proton throwing axes lie upstairs, and a dumpster behind the building holds two more plus plasma grenades. Stepping into the big light beam fades the screen to black and passes twelve hours, which is handy for skipping time but costly in Hardcore mode.
How to get there
Head to the southwest of the crater; Z-38 sits just south of the X-66 Hexcrete archipelago.

Tips
- Use the light beam to wait out the Sink vendor's restock timer.
- In Hardcore mode, eat and drink before stepping into the beam.
- Clear the nightstalker pack outside before going in.
