The Bitter Springs Recreation Area is a former vista stop due north of Callville Bay and close to Bitter Springs itself. Today it is mostly wrecked vehicles and trailers inside a concrete barricade, with the small Bitter Springs recreation office standing west of the trailers. Some of the old buses here still have strangely clean interiors. Cazadores hunt the surrounding area, so keep an eye on the sky while you look around.
The office is the stop that matters. Up to five giant rats live inside, and it holds an Average locked safe. Tumblers Today sits on a desk in the room on the left, and two Sunset Sarsaparilla star bottle caps lie next to the ham radio, though one sometimes ends up on the floor. It is a short detour if you are moving between Bitter Springs, Coyote Tail Ridge and Callville Bay.
How to get there
From Callville Bay, head due north to the barricaded lot of trailers and wrecks.
