Blue Paradise Vacation Rentals

Blue Paradise Vacation Rentals is a flooded resort on the western bank of the Colorado River, just south of Cottonwood Overlook and Cottonwood Cove. Three beach houses have sunk into the water, along with docks and several boats, including speedboats and a yacht. Only two of the houses can be entered. A small picnic area and two graves to the southwest round out the site, and the graves hold a little minor loot.

The danger is the lakelurk nest. Up to 13 lakelurks can gather in the lagoon area, and their sonic attacks hurt, so come with a strong ranged weapon and plenty of healing. Across the river, directly east of the houses, the lagoon hides a small cave with two duffle bags and two bodies, which is worth the swim if you can handle the lurks.

Star cap hunters should not skip this place. One Sunset Sarsaparilla star bottle cap sits in the middle beach house and another on a countertop in the northern house. Everything else is minor clutter, so if you only want the caps, slip in, grab them and leave before the lakelurks close in. The nearby Smith Mesa Prospector Camp makes a decent place to rest afterwards.
