Cottonwood Cove
Caesar's Legion's largest camp on the Colorado River's west bank, run by Aurelius of Phoenix and holding Legion slaves.

Cottonwood Cove is a former riverside resort on the Colorado River, southeast of Ranger Station Echo, and it is now the largest Legion camp on the west bank. Caesar's Legion uses it as a foothold in Nevada, moving troops and supplies by river to Fortification Hill. Legionaries patrol up to a welcome sign decorated with heads on pikes, explorers and mongrels cover the approaches, and red tents ring the concrete HQ that overlooks the bay. Aurelius of Phoenix is in command.
If you carry the Mark of Caesar, the raft at the pier takes you across to The Fort, where Caesar's questline continues. If you are hostile, expect a hard fight. Several quests meet here: Frank Weathers' family is held as slaves for Left My Heart, First Sergeant Astor wants Legion intel and a bug planted in the camp's radio for Eye for an Eye, and if Craig Boone is with you when you wipe out the camp during Eye for an Eye, it counts toward his companion quest, I Forgot to Remember to Forget.
Aurelius's office holds Grognak the Barbarian on the nightstand and Recompense of the Fallen and Legion Patrol Notes in the desk, with Legion Raid Plans in a filing cabinet in the HQ. A Sunset Sarsaparilla star bottle cap sits on a shelf in the women's restroom. Looting the office costs karma, and if you dump the radioactive waste from the overlook before freeing the Weathers family, they die and Left My Heart fails.

From Camp Searchlight, take the Cottonwood Cove road east down to the river.
