The Camp Guardian caves run from the abandoned NCR camp down to the shore of Lake Mead. Lakelurks came out of them and dragged the soldiers inside, and fifteen to twenty of them plus a lakelurk king still live here. The worst chamber holds egg clutches, eleven dead troopers and a dead caravan brahmin, and a flooded room beyond it leads out to the Colorado River.
Private Halford, the radio voice you hear near the camp, is hurt deep inside. Heal him with 50 Medicine or a doctor's bag, then tell him the way is clear or pass a 50 Speech check to have him fight with you. Saving him earns the dog tag fist schematics. Seven blocks of C-4 sit just inside the entrance, five in a crate and two more on and beside it. Do not confuse this place with the smaller Camp Guardian cave full of giant rats on the trail up.
How to get there
Climb the trail up Guardian Peak to Camp Guardian; the cave mouth is just north of the main tent.

Tips
- Halford ignores the path you cleared and heads deeper in, so make sure that route is safe before sending him off.
- The caves are dark; Rex's Search and Mark perk helps spot the weapons on the floor.
