Camp Guardian is an abandoned NCR Army camp on the north slope of Guardian Peak, overlooking the Colorado River and Lake Mead, southeast of Ranger Station Bravo. A winding trail with bridges, stairs and fenced walkways leads up to the main tent, a cooking area around a campfire and several lookouts. The camp was set up to watch for Legion crossings, but something came out of the nearby caves and the soldiers did not survive it.
When you arrive, you pick up a radio broadcast from Private Halford, the last survivor, injured and trapped in the Camp Guardian Caves behind his tent. Find him, treat his leg with a 50 Medicine check or a doctor's bag, then clear out the lakelurks and collect four NCR dogtags from his dead squad to finish Help for Halford. Radscorpions, giant rats, bark scorpions and coyotes wander the trail. Eleven daily logs around the camp and peak explain what happened, and a star cap waits near the radio by the campfire.
How to get there
Take the main road from Callville Bay east to the turnabout and old scenic overlook, then follow the trail uphill.
