Dead Horses Camp is the home of the Dead Horses tribe in the Eastern Virgin area of Zion Canyon. They came here from Dead Horse Point up the Colorado River because Joshua Graham, their acting war chief, asked them to. The camp is reached by a single path through a canyon, and bear traps have been set in the water to keep the White Legs out. Angel Cave, where Joshua lives, opens off the camp, and Arrival at Zion ends when you walk inside and speak with him.
From then on Joshua sends you out to gather supplies for the Sorrows: walkie-talkies in Gone Fishin', a compass from the Crashed Scout Bus in Roadside Attraction, and a medical kit and lunch boxes in Tourist Trap. He is also a merchant, selling ammunition, weapons, weapon mods and consumables, and he sells Sacred Datura Root if you are short of the three White Bird needs for Rite of Passage.
Around the camp are bighorner hide beds, a campfire, and sacks and clay pots of plants and food. An island in the middle has a natural stone bridge; climb it to find a skeleton and a bag of loot on a ledge. With the Wild Wasteland trait, a Dead Horse named Two-Bears-High-Fiving runs out of Angel Cave as you arrive. The camp is empty once Flight from Zion is complete. Fallen Rock Cave, across from the entrance to Angel Cave, holds the first two of Randall Clark's terminal logs.
How to get there
From the Zion Valley Welcome Booth, head east and down toward the waters of the Eastern Virgin, then follow the single canyon path into the camp.
