The old Goodsprings schoolhouse is a wreck of toppled desks and lockers, and five giant mantis nymphs live inside along with egg sacks that can hatch more if shot. Sunny Smiles mentions it as a place to scavenge, especially the old safe that Easy Pete failed to crack with dynamite, and she will hand over bobby pins and a Locksmith's Reader to help.
The safe sits on the floor near the long counter at the back, beside an Easy-locked terminal that can open it instead of picking the lock. Inside is a Stealth Boy. Several skill magazines lie around the building. Xander root grows by the side entrance, which is why By a Campfire on the Trail sends you here, and two extra nymphs appear outside during that quest.
How to get there
From the saloon, head south through town toward the ruined houses; the fenced school with a spire is on the southwest edge.

Tips
- Hack the terminal on the counter to open the safe if your Lockpick is too low; picking the lock first disables the terminal.
