The Hopeville Missile Base, formally the Hopeville Ballistic Defense Station, is the ground-level Army base in the southwestern corner of the Divide, built over the silo you crossed in The Silo. When you step out of the bunker, Ulysses hijacks ED-E's speaker for his first conversation and tells you to find the trigger buried in Hopeville. He also explains his flag graffiti: white marks the way forward, blue marks hidden loot and red warns of enemies ahead.
A concrete wall splits the base into west and east halves, and marked men, the ghoulified remains of NCR and Legion soldiers, patrol both. The west half has the women's barracks behind a warhead, a gas station with a workbench and a floor safe, the headquarters and the armory, a quonset hut whose lockers hold two sets of riot gear. Across from the east entrance, the men's barracks has a commissary terminal and US Army combat armor in a Hard-locked locker, but marked men occupy it.
The east half leads on to the marked men camp, the marked men base, the guard outpost and the supply outpost. A metal box between the barracks holds the base service gate key for the gate between the two halves. A shipping crate behind the gas station has a small chance to contain a Nuka-Cola Quantum, the only place in the game where one can spawn.
How to get there
Walk out of the Hopeville missile silo bunker at the end of The Silo; the base surrounds the exit doors.

Tips
- The armory opens with the access codes from the Hard-locked safe in the headquarters, or by picking its Very Hard door lock or hacking its terminal.
- Follow Ulysses' white flags for the main path, blue flags for loot and treat red flags as an ambush warning.
- The armory has a bed and storage lockers that do not reset, so it works as a small base in the Divide.
