Jimmy's well only exists with the Wild Wasteland trait. When Rex is your companion, he has a random chance of a special conversation in which the Courier asks him whether a boy has fallen down a well. Rex barks in reply and a marker for the well appears on your map. The well itself does not spawn until that conversation has happened.
It sits just south of Fields' shack, west of Nellis Air Force Base, right beneath the big overpass. Climb in to find a living mole rat and a small child-sized skeleton, along with the Abilene Kid LE BB gun, a unique BB gun with very strong critical hits that is also a silent weapon. Without Wild Wasteland, the same gun is found in Fields' shack instead.
How to get there
Travel to Fields' shack and walk a short way south to the overpass; the well is right under it once Rex has told you about Jimmy.
Notable loot
- Abilene Kid LE BB gun (inside the well)
Notable characters
- Rex
Tips
- Keep Rex in the party and talk to him repeatedly; the Jimmy dialogue is random.
- No Wild Wasteland? Look for the Abilene Kid LE BB gun in Fields' shack instead.
- The BB gun shines with sneak attack criticals and critical chance bonuses.
