Next to Smith Mesa Prospector Camp
A short walk south-southeast of the Smith Mesa prospector camp, this tiny site holds an unlit campfire, a rusted-out Corvega Atomic V-8 and a wooden plank lying on the ground. Nobody lives here and there is no real loot, so it is more of a curiosity than a destination.
Two of the plants stand out because they are oversized: a Nevada agave and a banana yucca. The camp also has its own music. Close to it the ambient track changes, and once the first song ends either Dream Town or Metallic Monks plays on a loop until you walk away.
How to get there
From the Smith Mesa prospector camp, walk a short way south-southeast.
Tips
- Listen for the music change; it tells you the camp is close.
- Harvest the oversized agave and banana yucca while you are here.
