The Scavenger Platform is a ramshackle raft of 18 barges joined by wooden bridges and topped with makeshift shacks, floating on Lake Mead southeast of the Fisherman's Pride Shack. Whoever built it is long gone. It is not anchored, yet it never drifts, and two ramps on its western side make it easy to climb up from the water.
The platform is no longer home to people. Up to six lakelurks have taken it over, and their sonic attacks hurt badly at low level, so thin them out with a scoped weapon from the shore before you swim over. Once it is clear, check the shacks: a Wasteland Survival Guide skill book sits on the fallen shelf in the northernmost hut and a Sunset Sarsaparilla star cap is on a shelf in the northeastern hut. There is also a campfire near the middle of the raft.
How to get there
From the Fisherman's Pride Shack swim southeast out into Lake Mead; the platform sits on open water between the shack and Callville Bay.
Tips
- Lakelurks live on the platform itself, so shoot them from the shore or the water's edge before you climb aboard.
- Grab the Wasteland Survival Guide from the northernmost hut; it is easy to miss.
