Boulder Beach Campground is an abandoned pre-war campsite on the shore of Lake Mead, north of Boulder City and just southeast of Ranger Station Alpha. A few cliffside campsites look out over the water, with a camper trailer holding a bed, a campfire, a row of old sedans and piers running into the lake. It is a quiet spot that most players pass on the way between Boulder City and the Lake Mead shoreline without stopping for long.
Loot is light but worth a sweep. There is a hollowed-out rock near the water, the first rock west of the end of the piers, marked with 'The sun is killing me' graffiti, and the area is littered with tin cans and bent tin cans, handy for Dealing with Contreras. The campfire is useful for cooking, and the trailer bed lets you rest. The real threat is lakelurks, which live in the lake by the camp and also wander onto the road to Boulder City, so keep your distance and fight them from range.
How to get there
From Boulder City head north along the road toward Lake Mead; the campground is on the shoreline below Ranger Station Alpha.
Tips
- Fight the lakelurks from range on the cliffs; they also show up on the road toward Boulder City.
- Use the campfire and the trailer bed after checking the hollowed-out rock by the piers.
