The Cuckoo's Nest is a circular cave in the southwest of Big MT, east of the X-7a Left Field artillery launch, named after One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest. It is a lobotomite den with a raised center outcropping, littered with corpses, junk and makeshift beds. Several hostile lobotomites live here under the unique Test Subject 1, the leader of the cave, who carries a Protonic inversal axe. Three lobotomites respawn every time you fast travel, even after you have cleared it.
The lobotomites have built a shrine to the Toaster, and the Sink Project: Toaster holotape sits on the bottom shelf of that makeshift shrine, to the right as you enter. It is needed for All My Friends Have Off Switches, and once restored the Toaster can super-heat Saturnite fists. Near a chalkboard in the northwest is the only Lobotomite jumpsuit not worn by a lobotomite, and five graves below the entrance slope can be dug up with a shovel beside a locker marked with one of Ulysses' Old World flags.
How to get there
Travel to the southwest of the crater; the cave sits between the X-7a artillery launch and the X-2 transmitter tower.
