Y-17 medical facility

The Y-17 medical facility is a medical research lab southwest of the X-8 research center. Medical robots were programmed to carry wounded people here from the Little Yangtze camp, and the Y-17 trauma harnesses, suits that keep moving with corpses still trapped inside, were developed here. The main room has two levels of catwalks around a sunken center holding a buried, broken Auto-Doc. Doctor Orderly MD PHD DDS and other hostile Mister Orderly robots patrol every level of the building.

This is where All My Friends Have Off Switches sends you for the Sink Project: Auto-Doc holotape, which leans against a typewriter on the northeast side of the upper catwalk. Restoring the Auto-Doc in the Sink is also how you can get your heart and spine back during Old World Blues. Two more upgrades for Influencing People are here: Implant C-13 on a desk on the lower level and Cosmetic Enhancements on a cabinet shelf on the mid-level catwalk.

Players who finished Dead Money will recognize the owner of the gear in the sunken center: Christine's CoS recon armor lies among the dark rubble near the wrecked Auto-Doc, with a Stealth Boy beside it. A side room of holding cells sits behind a force field that an upgraded Sonic emitter disables, and taking the Sterilizer glove from its console spawns three lobotomites at the entrance. Ulysses painted an Old World flag in red on the front door.
