The Z-14 Pepsinae DNA splicing lab is Doctor Borous' facility in the east of Big MT, named after the subfamily of spider wasps that includes the tarantula hawk. Borous spliced tarantula hawk DNA here, and the result was the cazador, one of the most feared creatures in the Mojave. Cazadores still roam the lower area, some hiding behind containment cell doors, so bring antivenom and a weapon that can track fast flyers.

Behind the large main door, the unique cazador Specimen 73 waits in the medical lab. It carries an Atomic-Valence Tri-Radii-Oscillator, and the Auto-Doc Upgrade: Implant M-5 module for Influencing People lies on the surgical table in the same room. Proton throwing axes are scattered around the lobby, a skeleton in one of the cells has a laser rifle and microfusion cells, and a deluxe chemistry set on the left of the lobby can make chems or Stimpaks.

How to get there

Head to the eastern rim of the crater; the lab sits just south of the Securitron de-construction plant.
