Cassidy Caravans Wreckage

Cassidy Caravans Wreckage is what is left of Rose of Sharon Cassidy's trading company: a wooden cart, a dead brahmin, ash piles and a scatter of drained energy cells in the scrub southeast of Camp McCarran, west of the Grub n' Gulp and northwest of REPCONN Headquarters. Cass herself is drinking at the Mojave Outpost when you first meet her, stuck there sorting out her papers when Rangers reported the attack that wiped out everything she had.

The wreck is a quest location. During Cass's companion quest Heartache by the Number you bring her here to pay her respects, and the way her crew and cargo were burned to ash, with nothing taken, makes her suspicious about who really destroyed the caravan. She asks you to check other sacked caravans next, and the trail eventually shows that the Van Graffs and Alice McLafferty of the Crimson Caravan set up the attacks. There is a small crate and a few boxes to loot, and cazadores or Legion assassins sometimes show up nearby.

Visit with Cass in tow if you want the quest to progress. Without her the wreckage is just a sad landmark on the way to the Grub n' Gulp or Camp Golf. It is still worth discovering for the fast travel point, since the roads east of McCarran are long and the site sits conveniently between the base and the Highway 95 junction near the rest stop.
