Chance's Map is a small enclosure along Nevada State Route 160, northwest of Nopah Cave and Vault 3, where a rough map of the Mojave has been carved into the ground. It was left by members of Jessup's Great Khan crew while they waited to meet Benny before the ambush outside Goodsprings. McMurphy sketched it with his finger to pass the time, and Chance dug the lines deeper with his knife.
The fun here is reading the map. Dark grooves mark the highways, and scraps of junk stand in for places: a can of turpentine for the Strip, cherry bombs for the Boomers at Nellis, a Legion denarius for The Fort, an empty whiskey bottle for Hoover Dam, two tall bottles for the Ranger statues at the Mojave Outpost and a deathclaw claw for Quarry Junction. None of the props can be picked up, but a hollowed-out rock nearby holds some minor loot.
How to get there
Follow Nevada State Route 160 southwest from the Poseidon gas station; the enclosure is beside the road northwest of Nopah Cave.

Tips
- Fast traveling here can spawn a Legion assassin party or an NCR Ranger hit squad if either faction hates you.
- Use the map as a rough guide to where the big factions sit before you set out exploring.
