Clark Field is a small pre-War power plant and nuclear storage site southeast of Novac, south of the Toxic Dump Site and east of the Highway 95 Viper's Encampment. Bombs wrecked it long ago and its containment leaks radiation into the concrete rubble; only the exterior can be explored. Highway 95 curves around it, and the Wrecked Highwayman lies to the southwest.

Radiation is the first problem; the industrial complex is highly irradiated, so Rad-X before you arrive and RadAway afterward are a good idea. The second is the pack of golden geckos that nests in the rubble. They hit harder than ordinary geckos and add radiation damage, so do not let them corner you among the ruins. A small fenced area on the southeast edge is free of radiation and has a skeleton and some loot beside a white NAC container.

Clark Field matters for Come Fly With Me. The body of Mr. RADical, a prospector who trusted his radiation suit too much, lies beside the road on the north approach from Novac with one isotope-239 igniting agent and his journal, and a second sample lies by a dead pack brahmin near the south entrance off the highway, along with a couple of stimpaks. Outside that quest the loot is thin.

How to get there

Southeast of Novac; from the Highway 95 Viper's Encampment head east into the hills, northeast of the Wrecked Highwayman.
