The Toxic Dump Site is a small spill east of Novac, beside the road that runs east toward Nelson. A partially buried shipping container sits on the edge of a low cliff with radioactive barrels spilling out of its back, and the ground around it is slightly irradiated. Clark Field, a much more dangerous irradiated site, lies just to the south.
There is not much to fight here. The radiation is mild as long as you do not stand among the barrels, and the container has no loot inside or around it. A lone wastelander sometimes wanders between the road and the dump, smoking and telling you to go away; he has only 1 Hit Point and is sometimes found already dead with minor loot.
The dump site is mostly a marker for completionists working the area around Novac. There is no quest here. If you do pick up a few rads, Dr. Ada Straus in Novac can clear your radiation for a fee, and the golden geckos of Clark Field are a short walk to the south if you want to hunt them.
How to get there
East of Novac; follow the road east from town toward Nelson and look for the half buried shipping container on a low cliff, north of Clark Field.
Tips
- Rad-X before, RadAway after if you plan to linger by the barrels.
- There is no loot at the container; the golden geckos are at Clark Field to the south.
