Cliffside Prospector Camp is a lonely shack perched on a cliff east of Ranger Station Echo, with Lucky Jim Mine to the west, the Techatticup Mine to the north and one of the best views of the Colorado River in the game. Someone staked a claim here and gave up, leaving very little behind. It is well off any road and most players find it while hunting for the out-of-the-way mines and camps of the southeast.
There is almost nothing to take: a Sunset Sarsaparilla star cap on top of a chessboard next to an empty Sarsaparilla bottle is the only notable find. The ledge is a fine spot to scope out the river below, and across the water to the east a path climbs to the Deathclaw Promontory, so do not wander over there unprepared. Legion members from Cottonwood Cove sometimes turn up nearby. Use the camp as a viewpoint between Ranger Station Echo and Techatticup Mine rather than expecting a reward at the end.
How to get there
From Techatticup Mine head south along the hills above the Colorado River; the camp sits on a ledge overlooking the water.
Tips
- Grab the star cap on the chessboard and enjoy the view of the Colorado; there is little else here.
- Legion members from Cottonwood Cove sometimes turn up here, so keep an eye on the slopes below.
