The Sniper's Nest is a hilltop position west of Cottonwood Cove and south of Ranger Station Echo, looking straight down onto the Legion camp and the river beyond it. The NCR had it set up for missions against the cove: a lean-to of three rusty metal sheets with room for one person to sleep, and a small camouflaged tent in front with a clear view of the whole camp below. It is easy to miss until you walk into it, so most players find it while crossing the hills between Ranger Station Echo and Cottonwood Cove.
The main reason to come is the Gobi Campaign Scout Rifle, a unique sniper rifle that hits harder, fires faster and wears out slower than the standard version, stored in a Very Hard-locked gun case inside the lean-to. It has no key, so you need 100 Lockpick to open it. Once you have it, the view of Cottonwood Cove makes a perfect place to use it on the legionaries below. Look for a Sunset Sarsaparilla star cap on the bench too.
How to get there
From Cottonwood Cove climb the hills to the west; the nest is on the high ground overlooking the camp.

Tips
- The gun case holding the Gobi Campaign Scout Rifle is Very Hard-locked and has no key, so come back with 100 Lockpick.
- The nest overlooks Cottonwood Cove, so it doubles as a sniping position against the Legion camp.
