Coyote Mines
An old mine and two-storey mine house north of Searchlight, with a bed, dynamite and grenades inside and only stray ghouls nearby.

The Coyote Mines are an abandoned mine site in the rocky hills north of Camp Searchlight, northeast of the Searchlight North Gold Mine and southwest of Ranger Station Echo. Despite the name there are no coyotes here. The site has two parts: a two-storey mine house with a bed, kitchen, working jukebox and three first aid boxes, and the mine itself, whose entrance is at the foot of the cliff behind the house.
Neither the house nor the mine has hostile creatures or traps, though feral ghouls from Camp Searchlight sometimes wander near the house and a couple of prospectors may be camped inside the mine. The mine splits right away: the left side has a bedroll, healing powder and a Hydra, and the right side has alcoves with dynamite, frag grenades and minor loot. Look for a Sunset Sarsaparilla star cap on a table downstairs in the house. From here it is a short trip southeast to the Sniper's Nest and Cottonwood Cove.
How to get there
From Camp Searchlight head north past the Searchlight North Gold Mine; the mine house sits a little further northeast in the hills, with the mine entrance behind it.
Tips
- The mine house bed and first aid boxes make this a good place to recover after fighting the ghouls in Camp Searchlight.
- Combine with the Searchlight North Gold Mine, which is only a short walk away.
