Searchlight North Gold Mine is one of two old gold mines just outside Camp Searchlight, the irradiated NCR town on the southeastern highway. The entrance is a hole tucked into gaps in a rock formation northeast of town, close to the water tower, with a hollowed-out rock just to the left of it. It sits close enough to the town that you will likely find it while dealing with the feral ghoul troopers there.
Inside, a small cave system holds feral trooper ghouls and two glowing ones. The loot is a dozen sticks of dynamite, some food and drink, a Sunset Sarsaparilla star cap, and a small ammo stash behind a Hard-locked gate; the key is on a dead prospector at the end of the right-hand passage. It sits between Camp Searchlight and the Coyote Mines, so it is worth a look on the way through. Check your radiation level after visiting town, and again after fighting the glowing ones.
How to get there
From Camp Searchlight walk northeast toward the water tower; the entrance is hidden among the rocks just outside town.
Tips
- Clear your radiation after visiting Camp Searchlight, and bring Rad-X for the glowing ones inside.
- Grab the key from the dead prospector at the back to open the Hard-locked gate, then pair the trip with the Coyote Mines nearby.
