Next to Camp McCarran
The Fabulous New Vegas sign is the famous Welcome to Fabulous Las Vegas sign, repainted so that New covers the old Las. It stands just north of the main entrance to Camp McCarran, close to the southern wall of the Strip. It is the sign from the game's opening cinematic, where an NCR Veteran Ranger with an anti-materiel rifle snipes a Fiend by the El Rey Motel.
Look closely and the e in New turns out to be a backwards 3, and someone has painted a smiley face inside the o of Welcome. The sniper platform on the back of the sign is real but cannot be reached by normal means, and no character uses it during play. It is a quick sightseeing stop on the way to the Camp McCarran gate.
How to get there
Walk to Camp McCarran's main gate and look just north of it, toward the Strip wall.

- The sign is an easy landmark for finding the Camp McCarran entrance and the central sewers ladder in front of it.
