Part of Goodsprings
The Goodsprings General Store belongs to Chet, who sells basic supplies rather than anything fancy, as Doc Mitchell puts it. For most players it is the first real trader of the game. Part of Chet's stock is tied to the shelves themselves, so buying something like a can of Pork n' Beans can make the matching can disappear from the store.
A Mojave Express dropbox sits on the porch, and a workbench and reloading bench stand by the building's east wall. Inside are low bookshelves, a small back room and an armor chest under the counter. In Ghost Town Gunfight, Chet will hand his stockpile of leather armor to the town militia if you pay 1,000 caps or pass a 25 Barter check.
How to get there
Walk east from Doc Mitchell's house along the main street; the store is the building just before the saloon.
Notable loot
- Leather armor (Chet gives one set if you win him over during Ghost Town Gunfight)
