Next to Bitter Springs
The Great Khans who once lived at Bitter Springs stashed supplies in three caves around the canyon. Captain Gilles of the NCR refugee camp sends the Courier after the caches in No, Not Much, and one of the caves is also the hideout of Oscar Velasco, the lone Khan sniper she wants stopped in Climb Ev'ry Mountain.
The irradiated cave sits at the north edge of Bitter Springs, left of the path that leads up into the mountains. Giant soldier and worker ants fill its main chamber, and the radioactive supply cache lies at the back behind a broken fence. The night stalker den is at the end of the same path, outside the camp; its cache sits behind an Easy locked gate, and the night stalkers rush out as you near the passage.
Velasco's cave is near the top of the mountain northwest of the camp, along a narrow path. Since the massacre he has fought a one-man war on Bitter Springs and has killed eight refugees and three soldiers. You can kill him, or pass a 50 Speech check to send him back to Red Rock Canyon or after Camp McCarran instead. His key opens the locked gates in his cave and in the den.
