Part of The Fort
The Legion arena is a small pit walled with scrap metal just below Caesar's tent. Its overseer Otho runs fights to the death for the legionaries' entertainment, but only for a male Courier; women are turned away. Fighters must use gladiator armor and a machete, and everything else is locked in an equipment case outside until the bout ends.
Otho's three rounds are two armed slaves, then the captured NCR Sergeant Andrews, then Ranger Stella, and each win raises your standing with the Legion. Other fights can happen here for anyone: Benny during Render Unto Caesar, a few of Antony's best dogs for a girl named Melody, and Lupa for her brain in Nothin' But a Hound Dog.
How to get there
Inside the Fort, climb toward Caesar's tent; the pit and Otho are just before it.
Notable loot
- Gladiator armor and machete (can be kept if you run out of the gate as the fight starts)

Tips
- Stash your gear in a nearby tent footlocker first to avoid dozens of item pop-ups when it is returned.
- Drop stimpaks or food in the pit beforehand; items left there stay between bouts.
- Companions holding ranged holdout weapons can shoot into the pit and help.
