The Fort is Caesar's Legion's headquarters in the Mojave, built on Fortification Hill on the east bank of the Colorado above Hoover Dam. The only normal way in is the raft run by Cursor Lucullus at Cottonwood Cove, which takes you across once you have been invited, usually after Vulpes Inculta hands you the Mark of Caesar following the showdown at the Tops. Inside the walls are the training yard, the arena, slaves, Lucius and the Praetorian Guard, and Caesar's own tent in the middle of the camp.
Guards take your weapons at the gate unless Caesar says otherwise, so this is a talking location first and a fighting one second. Caesar lays out his plans in Render Unto Caesar and asks you to destroy the securitron bunker under the weather station, which turns out to be Mr. House's hidden army. You can also treat Caesar's brain tumor in Et Tumor, Brute?, fight in the arena, and decide Benny's fate if he was captured alive after fleeing the Tops.
The Fort is extremely dangerous if the Legion turns on you. Dozens of legionaries and Praetorian Guards with ballistic fists fill the compound, and there is no cover on the hilltop. If you plan on an anti-Legion playthrough, grab what you need from the bunker and leave quietly, or come back late in the game with heavy armor and companions. The Legate's Camp and the Legion's assault on Hoover Dam both tie back to decisions made here.
How to get there
Take Cursor Lucullus's raft from Cottonwood Cove once you have the Mark of Caesar; it is the only intended route onto Fortification Hill.

Tips
- The gate guard asks you to hand over your weapons, alcohol and chems; mouthing off to him can turn the camp hostile.
- If you want the securitron bunker for Mr. House or Yes Man, do the job quietly and leave; killing Caesar early makes the Legion hostile everywhere.
- Operate on Caesar's tumor yourself only with 75 Medicine, or use the Auto-Doc in his tent; with less he dies on the table.
