The Monte Carlo Suites is a decayed hotel on the western side of New Vegas, directly north of the Sunset Sarsaparilla Headquarters and south of Westside, easy to spot by the big neon sign on its roof. It is the base of the Scorpions, a small gang that sells chems, takes mercenary work and regularly loses fights with the Fiends. A Scorpion stands guard at the front door and opens fire on the Courier on sight.

Inside, more gang members patrol a rectangular corridor while others sit in an Easy-locked room, and the leaders, Roller and Yvette, are here too. Yvette carries a .44 Magnum revolver in near perfect condition. The gang is better organized than most, with sleeping quarters, a dining room and a workspace that has a workbench and a reloading bench in the third room to the right of the entrance. The stairs to the second floor are destroyed.

Once the gang is gone, the hotel becomes a handy scavenging spot. Its garbage cans keep respawning junk, caps and bullets, and the street outside has an unusual number of respawning mailboxes and dumpsters, which get better with the Scrounger and Fortune Finder perks. Klamath Bob in Westside's liquor store can fill you in on the Scorpions before you go.

How to get there

Leave Westside by the south entrance and walk directly south to the hotel with the large neon sign.
