A ruined rest stop on Nevada 164 west of Nipton where a Jackal gang leader and crew ambush travelers.

The Nipton Road Pit Stop is a cluster of destroyed buildings along Nevada 164, west of Nipton and due south of the Ivanpah Race Track. The Jackals use it as a waypoint, and a Jackal gang leader with followers will try to ambush you as you arrive. A second wave can show up during or after the first fight, and more gang members walk the route between here and Bradley's Shack to the southeast, so it can turn into a long running battle.
Once the Jackals are dealt with, check the ruined building on the north side of the road for a mine box with frag mines and a grenade box with an Average lock. A briefcase sits under the blue car, and there is healing powder by the campfire. On the road east toward Nipton you may run into Jacklyn and Tomas in a gunfight if you already carry at least one star cap; wait for it to end and deal with the survivor to collect up to nine Sunset Sarsaparilla star bottle caps between the two of them.
How to get there
From the Ivanpah Race Track, walk due south to Nevada 164 and the ruined buildings beside the road.

Tips
- Avoid the ambush by cutting through the Ivanpah area to the north or the desert to the south.
- Let Jacklyn and Tomas finish their fight, then talk to, pickpocket or fight the survivor for the star caps.
- Look for 'The Burned Man Walks!' painted on the brick building, a nod to Joshua Graham.
