Morning Star Cavern is a short, crescent-shaped cave east of the Mojave Outpost and southwest of the Nipton Road Pit Stop, tucked into the southwest corner of the Ivanpah Dry Lake area. Tiered rocks lead up to an opening in the rock wall, and the entrance is littered with rocks and skeletons. It is a nightstalker den, and nightstalker bites carry poison, so bring antivenom or extra stimpaks if you plan to clear it.
Outside, beside a Hollowed-Out Rock, an explosives crate is guarded by a pack of six nightstalkers. Inside, young nightstalkers are common, and the Den Mother, a stronger and rarer variant, lives in the cave. A dead end lies to the right, while the long arc to the left leads to a dead mercenary and a duffle bag. It makes a quick dungeon for explosives and experience on the way east toward Nipton.
How to get there
From the Mojave Outpost, travel east along the southern edge of Ivanpah Dry Lake and climb the tiered rocks to the cave opening.
