The Remnants Bunker is an old Enclave vertibird refueling station hidden in the hills near Ranger Station Foxtrot, due east of Jacobstown. From outside it is just a small trapdoor at the bottom of a den, and giant mantises roam the area. After the NCR destroyed the Enclave's West Coast bases, the survivors scattered and settled quietly across the Mojave, and Judah Kreger put the bunker on standby, expecting to come back in a few years. Decades later it still works.

You cannot get inside on a normal visit. The door only opens during For Auld Lang Syne, Arcade Gannon's companion quest, after you travel with Arcade to each of the five remnants and collect their parts of the pass phrase. Inside is a hangar with a vertibird and suits of Enclave power armor locked behind forcefields, plus a planning room where the old soldiers decide which side they will fight for at the Second Battle of Hoover Dam.

Finishing the quest here earns you Remnants power armor and a helmet, and it grants Power Armor Training if you do not have it yet, which makes it a good alternative to the Brotherhood of Steel route. Depending on Arcade's final choice, he may hand you his Gannon family Tesla armor outside the door. When you leave after the quest, the bunker seals for the rest of the game, so take what you want first.

How to get there

From Ranger Station Foxtrot, search the nearby hills for a small den with a trapdoor at the bottom.

Notable loot

  • Remnants power armor and helmet (For Auld Lang Syne reward)
  • Gannon family Tesla armor (from Arcade, depending on his choice)
  • Locker and crate contents in the hangar (owned, no Karma loss)

Tips

  • Arcade needs enough trust, and you need progress in a non-Legion faction arc, before the quest opens up.
  • This is the easiest way to get Power Armor Training if you have fallen out with the Brotherhood of Steel.
  • The bunker locks for good once you leave after the quest.
