Silver Peak Mine

Silver Peak Mine is up a rocky embankment on the west side of Nevada State Route 157, just off the path to Jacobstown. You enter through a small mine shack, which is the safe part of the visit and holds a copy of Tumblers Today and a Sunset Sarsaparilla star bottle cap. Two bighorner bulls usually wait outside and charge as soon as you fast travel in, unless you have the Animal Friend perk.

The mine itself has been taken over by a cazador nest, which makes it one of the most dangerous small caves in the Mojave. Walking into the tunnel at the back of the big chamber spawns more cazadores and a legendary cazador behind you. The reward is on the upper level: an Enclave soldier hid here after Navarro fell, and his Remnants power helmet still sits behind a fence door, next to crates of C-4, plasma grenades, mines and dynamite.

Come with strong armor, a weapon that can track fast flying targets and a stack of antivenom, because cazador poison builds up quickly. If you are still low level, it is fine to skip the mine and come back later. Roughly three in-game days after you clear the legendary cazador and its pack, a fresh group of cazadores can respawn in the mine, so the nest can be farmed for experience once you can handle it.
