Part of Mojave Outpost
The two colossal ranger statues at the Mojave Outpost form the Unification Monument. They stand at an old checkpoint between Nevada and California where, in 2271, the Desert Rangers of Nevada and the NCR Rangers signed the Ranger Unification Treaty. The Desert Rangers, who had fared badly fighting Caesar in Arizona, joined the NCR in return for its help against the Legion, and the monument also marks the edge of fully NCR-controlled territory.
The statues stand right outside the outpost along Interstate 15, lit at night and visible from almost anywhere in the Ivanpah Valley, so they make a handy landmark for navigation. A plaque between them tells the history. Sergeant Kilborn patrols in front of the monument, and telling him about the Legion's attack on Nipton completes Cold, Cold Heart for Vulpes Inculta.
How to get there
Fast travel to the Mojave Outpost; the statues tower over the road just outside it.
